Welcome to the FEFC Boone web site.  We use the abbreviation FEFC because it can be  difficult to say our full name, First Evangelical Free Church of Boone.  FEFC Boone is part of a nationwide group of churches known as the Evangelical Free Church of America.  Since this may be the first time you've heard of these churches let me briefly explain who we are, and our name helps do that.  The word "Evangelical" defines what we believe.  We believe the Bible is God's Word and without error.  It is our guide for life and service to Him.  We believe Jesus Christ is God and gave His life to pay the penalty for our sins and only through Christ can we know God and one day be with Him in heaven for eternity.  The word "Free" means each church in our fellowship is self-governed.  FEFC Boone is an old church.  It was started in 1869 by Swedish Immigrants.  Though it began many years ago, today it is a vibrant church, faithfully serving God by helping people get to know God, love God, and serve God and to reach people who need God.  Our mission is "Glorifying God...by making wholehearted followers of Jesus Christ."  If you are looking for a church, we invite you to come, meet us, get to know us and grow with us in becoming wholehearted followers of Jesus Christ.
